Camper and his three dogs hear possible vocalizations and cut camping trip short in Beaver Creek
The witness was camping with three dogs and playing with them near the campfire before sunset when loud primate-like calls were heard from up the mountain and canyon. After the witness mimicked the calls, the callers replied and appeared to move closer, while the dogs grew fearful and cowered. Once sounds were very close in the trees after dark and the dogs barked aggressively at the vehicle windows, the witness left the area by vehicle.
Elk hunter observes an apparent family group
The witness was archery hunting with a group near Elk Valley and walked into a clearing expected to lead to ponds. From about 100 yards away the witness saw three erect dark-brown figures walking quickly in height order toward timber, with the leader gesturing for the smallest to hurry. The figures disappeared into the timber, and the witness did not investigate but later learned a companion nearby had seen the same thing.

The witness was bow hunting with a group and was dropped off to hunt over a ridge toward a beaver pond. From 75-100 yards away he saw three hair-covered figures at the pond's edge and watched them walk around the pond through scrub into timber. He started toward the pond to look for tracks but left the area after realizing their size.
Two campers' night observation of large creature near campground
The witness and a companion were camping overnight in sleeping bags with two other campers who were asleep. In the early morning the witness felt watched, sat up, and both awake campers saw a large totally black humanoid standing at the woods edge about a hundred feet away for several minutes. After sensing it meant no harm, both lay down and fell asleep. No odor or unusual sounds were noted.
