On a clear Sunday morning the witness was driving north on an expressway bordered by trees and brush. He noticed a dark, upright figure running across the road from left to right with swinging arms, continuing into the trees without slowing. He slowed near the spot where it entered the treeline but the figure was already out of sight.

Man recalls a sighting after Hurricane Frederic north of Mobile
The witness was walking at night with a flashlight to fetch ice when dogs began barking loudly. A very large hair-covered biped ran from behind a house toward the woods, then rushed to the road edge, stared with glowing eyes and made a loud growling sound. The witness screamed and fled home, and a search the next day found no tracks.
