A couple hiking in a wetland preserve heard several loud wood knocks after crossing a boardwalk bridge. Later on the trail they found several large barefoot human-like tracks pressed deeply into mud, which the reporter photographed. No creature was seen and no other unusual events occurred at the time.

The witness was driving with a companion on a county road west of Clam Lake in late morning when they noticed a tall dark figure standing by the road. Two companions sat in a parked car in Mohican State Park after jokingly making whoop calls, then heard two tree knocks from a steep wooded slope close by. They moved to a more open picnic area where birds grew loud then suddenly stopped, a rock tumbled down a cliff, and the witness saw the left foot, leg and hip of a muscular, short black-haired animal slip behind a tree before they left.
Long distance daylight sighting by farm owner 5 miles south of Ashland
In the late afternoon after rain, the witness was mowing behind the house when a large all-black figure appeared near a distant field corner. The witness moved to a wood pile for a better view and watched the figure travel northeast across a planted field along a deer trail before disappearing into tall weeds within about a minute and a half. After waiting several minutes without it reappearing, the witness finished mowing and later searched the area for tracks without success.
Recent encounter behind Warehouse 24 Gym on the outskirts of Ashland
Around midnight the witness was walking out of a gym toward her vehicle near a treeline when she heard a twig snap. She looked up to see a tall gray-furred figure about 30 yards away under parking lot lighting turning to run back into the woods with swinging arms. The figure quickly disappeared behind the building, and the witness left the area and called relatives for a ride while shaken.

A family of four was camping in the primitive area of a park at night when sticks and possible rocks were thrown from the woods and strange noises were heard. After a loud bang on a nearby wooden outhouse, a witness saw a tall dark hairy figure run into the woods. A responding ranger searched the woods, found no one and no damage, and noted the family were the only campers in that section.

The witness was camping in a van at Mohican State Park and stepped outside around 3 a.m. to relieve himself. He noticed a tall, slender silhouette moving upright on two legs along the campground road away from him. He said it covered about 50 feet in 5 or 6 strides before disappearing into darkness, and he interpreted it as a Bigfoot.

The witness then saw a long reddish-haired creature squatting motionless near the corner of the house without looking toward them. The witness ran inside to get family members, but by the time they came outside the creature was gone although the strong odor still filled the yard.

Two high-school companions went to an old single-lane railroad bridge at night to look into stories that it was haunted. While walking toward an abandoned barn they heard approaching rustling, then a loud scream-growl and heavy footsteps. A large shaggy creature reportedly ran at them on all fours, stood up about 15 feet away, and chased them back to their car before leaving when something else came down the road. They returned the next day and found odd-looking footprints.

While bowhunting from a tree stand, the witness heard loud high-pitched shrieking and saw brush shaking as an unseen animal moved through thick briars. A hunting companion positioned below reportedly saw the animal on two legs and described it as apelike. Both left the area out of fear and did not return.
