Wood knock near Ashland, Ohio (2026)
A couple hiking in a wetland preserve heard several loud wood knocks after crossing a boardwalk bridge. Later on the trail they found several large barefoot human-like tracks pressed deeply into mud, which the reporter photographed. No creature was seen and no other unusual events occurred at the time.

Late at night the witness stepped outside to retrieve a dog and noticed an extremely strong body-odor smell. The witness then saw a long reddish-haired creature squatting motionless near the corner of the house without looking toward them. The witness ran inside to get family members, but by the time they came outside the creature was gone although the strong odor still filled the yard.
Two high school students are chased by large unknown creature
Two high-school companions went to an old single-lane railroad bridge at night to look into stories that it was haunted. While walking toward an abandoned barn they heard approaching rustling, then a loud scream-growl and heavy footsteps. A large shaggy creature reportedly ran at them on all fours, stood up about 15 feet away, and chased them back to their car before leaving when something else came down the road. They returned the next day and found odd-looking footprints.
Man recalls being picked up as a child in Mohican Memorial Forest
When the witness was 5 years old and camping with his parents in central Ohio, he became lost in the woods. He claims a large hairy female creature picked him up, carried him quickly through the forest, and left him in camp with a heavy branch on his legs where his parents later found him. He says his parents dismissed his account as imagination and he did not share it widely for decades.
