Backpacker hears howls and knocks on different trips in Upper Dry Creek, seven (7) miles NE from Boise

In May 2023 the witness camped overnight with four companions at a secluded site off Dry Creek Trail north of Boise. Unable to sleep, the witness heard three long howls from different directions across the valley, described as similar to a known Ohio recording but longer. The companions reportedly did not hear the sounds, and no further howls occurred that night.
