Witnesses described seeing and hearing it near the river and finding footprints, with size and color accounts varying. The writer's brother was driving alone late at night on Skyball Mountain when he smelled a strong odor. He saw a large dark hair-covered figure in tall weeds beside the road that stepped onto the road and stared at him while he stopped and watched for a minute or more. The figure then walked into the woods on the other side of the road and he drove home.
