A female forestry technician was alone checking a cutblock and walking out on an old road in the afternoon when she noticed she was being watched. She turned and saw a tall, dark-brown furry animal with long arms walk with bent knees for two strides before hiding behind a large boulder. Spooked, she readied her bear spray and hurried to the beach pickup spot.

A beach resident told the reporter he had encountered a sasquatch on the beach about a month earlier. He reported a strong gamey smell and, after turning on the headlights, saw a large ape-like creature with red eyes staring at him. The witness's mother was talking on the telephone on the screened porch when the outside dogs began barking intensely. She saw a large beige animal crouched at the edge of the woods about 1000 yards from the house.
