Around midnight on January 21, 2017 the witness was making calls from the front porch and received a wood knock response from across the street, which drew the dog into the woods. When the dog went quiet the witness entered the woods, beat on an oak and shouted for the dog, then heard knocks, chest-beating, howls, a bluff charge and a tree pushed over while seeing eyeshine. After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.

The witness and a relative were sleeping in a tent at their hunting camp when loud screams woke the witness. After a long silent interval, something on two feet circled the tent, cast a tall shadow and scratched the fabric, then crossed a gravel road into the woods followed by repeated stick-struck sounds. The relative woke briefly and also heard part of the screaming. No tracks were found the next morning.

The witness was rabbit hunting at night and walking out of the woods along an old lane. Something in the brush to the side paced him for about 150 yards, stopping when he stopped, but his flashlight revealed nothing. Becoming scared, he turned off the light and ran to his truck.

While hunting with a dog in the late afternoon, the witness felt watched. The dog ran into a thicket and barked, then a loud scream was heard over the barking followed by snapping branches, and the dog fled home. The witness then saw a tall dark outline standing in the brush about 25 yards away that seemed to start moving toward him, so he ran home and found the dog hiding.

The creature pulled a cypress stump from the mud, threw it into the river, then turned to look at them and walked briskly away along the riverbank. The men then found large human-like footprints at the spot where it had stood.

Both then heard a loud non-human scream described as between a woman and a cougar, followed by loud splashing as something large moved through the water along the lake. After about five minutes normal swamp sounds resumed, suggesting whatever made the sounds continued down the lake.

While camping with relatives in swampy woods, the witness heard prolonged screaming and strange noises through the night that frightened the group. They were unable to leave due to muddy roads and remained in camp until morning. At first light they found small trees snapped over, grass flattened, and what they described as huge footprints.

The witness's father then saw the creature run and leap a wide creek, hearing a grunt on landing, before it disappeared.

Family members found a line of large human-like footprints in sand that started at a lake, went up a steep sand bank, and continued toward a thick swamp. The prints were described as about 16 inches long with a very long stride of about eight feet. The discovery was reported in summer 1991 after a relative noticed the tracks by the lake.
