Late at night the witness was inside a trailer in the woods when a loud, strange bellowing was heard twice from the woods. The witness stepped outside onto the porch to listen and judged the sound came from 100 to 150 yards away and from a very large, nocturnal animal. After waiting, the witness walked up a nearby dirt road with a flashlight but found nothing.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion while driving home to a year-round campground at night. The witness spotted a brown, hairy figure crouched on a boulder on a hill, facing toward the companion's cabin. When headlights hit it, it paused briefly, leapt about nine feet to another rock, stood up and ran bipedally out of sight down the hill. The companion did not see it.

The witness hiked to a deer stand while hearing repeated groups of clicking sounds for about 45 minutes but could not locate the source on the ridge. While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. The unseen source then made a very loud close grunt and, after the witness chambered a round, a loud guttural scream/grunt. The witness never saw the source.

Two people talking loudly while hunting heard two or three loud, high-pitched screams described as like a sick cow. They took cover behind a log as loud branch-breaking and thumping sounds seemed to approach them, then the sounds stopped abruptly and they left the area quickly.

The witness was tracking elk sign alone in the late afternoon when he smelled a foul odor, felt watched, then saw several large bipedal animals scatter through thick brush and fled back to camp. While descending about 300 yards, small pebbles were repeatedly tossed at them from behind, striking the witness in the back without injury until they began to run.

The witness was driving north on a highway at night approaching a lit intersection. A tall dark figure emerged from the roadside ditch, approached the car in one stride, and stared at the witness. The witness continued to the stop sign, saw the figure standing in the middle of the road in the rearview mirror, and drove on without stopping.

The witness arrived early to hike a park nature trail after overnight rain and found elk tracks on the muddy path. On top of the elk tracks was a set of much larger barefoot human-like prints continuing in the same direction for dozens of feet. After remaining awake and still for an extended period the witnesses fell asleep, later heard a large splash in the river, and found no tracks in the morning.
