The witness was camping on the south side of Lewey Lake late in the evening when loud, unfamiliar screams were heard coming from across the lake. The cries did not match any known local wildlife or campers in the area. The witness later compared the sound to scream recordings associated with Bigfoot and found it very similar.

The witness was driving in the morning when they noticed a large hair-covered man-like figure standing at the edge of the woods about 50 feet away. The figure first moved backwards with small steps, then turned and walked deeper into the woods until it could no longer be seen. The witness estimated its height from nearby pine trees at upper six feet to near seven feet with very broad shoulders.

The witness and three relatives were outside saying goodbye after dinner when they heard a very long, loud howl. The sound lasted about five minutes and caused several dogs in the area to bark and howl in response. A very large, gray-brown shaggy animal then crossed the road in front of the vehicle at high speed in a hunched, primate-like run. The witness and his wife were driving in the Greenwater area so the witness could hike up a snowy dirt road to look for sunglasses lost the previous winter. While hiking he found a line of unusually deep footprints with a long uphill stride. At the top where snow had melted, the last print was a clear impression in frozen mud showing five toes, arch and heel. He went back downhill to bring his wife to view the tracks.

The witness was playing in the snow with relatives after pulling over on a mountain road near Jacob Lake and the North Rim. The group heard a loud yelling-like sound, then a second loud, clear, deep howl that the witness compared to a reference howl. They left the area quickly without seeing what made the sound.

A relative reportedly found a set of bipedal tracks in snow and followed them in both directions. The tracks are described as unusually deep with a very long average stride, leading from a swampy area through hardwood forest to within 20 yards of a cabin before being lost at a plowed road. Both went outside and inspected three very large five-toed prints that appeared isolated without a trail leading in or out. The prints were later described as pristine and measuring sixteen inches long by seven inches wide.

Two 13-year-olds were playing outside in front of a house on a snowy winter night when they saw a tall, hair-covered biped running along the side of the road about 50 feet away under a streetlight. They described it as 7 to 9 feet tall, covered head to toe in fur, and running faster than anything they had seen. After it ran out of sight, they ran inside to tell an adult, who did not believe them, and they stayed inside because they were frightened.

Late at night four friends walking past a graveyard noticed a very large object resting on a branch in a large tree. After they shone a flashlight at it, the object dropped about twenty feet and ran quickly toward woods behind the graveyard. The witness returned at sunrise and found very large impressions in the grass with a stride neither he nor a taller companion could match, leading him to estimate the creature at seven to nine feet tall.

The witness and his wife were awakened around 2 a.m. by sounds outside their bedroom window and a very strong odor coming through the window. An unseen source then produced a loud, wild, almost human-like shriek. Their two dogs, normally fearless, refused to leave the room, and the couple did not go outside. The witness inferred whatever was at the window must have been at least seven feet tall to reach it.

In April 1999 the witness and family were gathered around a campfire at night near a stream in the Tushar Mountains when they heard loud branch-breaking from the woods across the stream for several minutes. The sounds were followed by a human-like screaming cry that sent several children running to a nearby cabin. The witness, described as an avid hunter, said the cry matched no known local animal and thought a human prank was possible but unlikely.

The witness regularly walked a wooded trail near office buildings during lunch. One afternoon in May 1999 the witness found a young tree freshly snapped off high up and laid across the trail to block it, with no sign of sawing, wind, or vehicle contact. The witness showed the scene to a coworker the next day and cleared the trail, and later wondered whether the damage could be related to Bigfoot. No creature was seen and no footprints or hair were checked.

Around 2001 the witness and a companion hiked Heather Lake Trail in the late afternoon as the last hikers on the trail. While taking turns stepping away to urinate near the top, each had a rock thrown at them from an unseen source. As they hurried and then ran back down, they heard heavy stomping and breaking branches moving parallel to them, and another rock was thrown after they briefly hid behind a tree, prompting them to flee to their car frightened.

Two elk hunters stopped to wash in a creek off a forest road and found a single very large footprint in soft sandy soil. The print was estimated to be much larger and deeper than an adult's print and lacked clear toe marks. No animal was seen, and no other tracks are described.

The witness then took cover behind a dirt mound and watched the area for about an hour without seeing anything leave to the east, west, or south.

The witness was sleeping at a relative's house near Wayne National Forest in late November 1998 and awoke around 2:23 a.m. to hollow thudding like a branch or log struck against a tree trunk. The knocks came from a draw below the house and from farther away in alternating exchanges at regular intervals for about 20 minutes, with locations shifting but never converging. The witness stayed inside, saw nothing, and interpreted the sounds as deliberate communication, discounting animals, falling branches, or humans.
Local hunter hears multiple screams after dark outside Sundance
During a late-season deer hunt, the witness parked and camped overnight in a van at the junction of Grand Canyon Road and Williams Gulch. Just after dark he heard loud, long screams repeated four or five times that he could not identify as any known animal. His dog refused to leave the van, and he saw no deer the next day.
