Occupants of a green caravan traveling ahead appeared to have seen the same figure.

They turned toward their truck and saw a tall, hairy creature standing by a tree about 30 feet off the road, pushing a branch away from its face to watch them. The witness and his father were hiking a loop trail back toward their car when the witness noticed a single barefoot-like impression in soft ash. The print showed toe outlines and an arch, felt as soft as the surrounding ash, and was larger than the witness's own foot. The surrounding ground was harder and held no other prints, and the witness jumping nearby left no impression. The witness concluded no person would be walking barefoot there and considered the print non-human.
