Hikers hear "weird vocal exchange" from unknowns near Lake Ann
The witness and a companion were hiking toward Lake Ann in the evening when they heard a prolonged exchange of high-pitched, varied and eerie calls between two distant, inaccessible points across the valley. The exchange lasted several minutes. Shortly afterward they met two other hikers who had also heard the sounds and found them strange.
Possible late afternoon road crossing north of Ransom
The witness was driving on a rural road in the afternoon when a large bipedal creature crossed the road ahead from west to east. The creature moved very quickly into dense woods and had disappeared by the time the witness reached the crossing point. The witness later noted flattened grass where it entered the woods and said it looked like no known human or animal.

In fall 2014 the witness stood on the back deck of a managed farm listening to coyotes vocalizing across a stream. He then heard three loud, deep, unfamiliar howls spaced seconds apart that vibrated his chest, after which the coyotes fell silent. The witness backpacked solo to a remote campsite and spent the night in a hammock. Throughout the night he heard knocks, screams, howls, voices, footsteps, rocks and twigs landing nearby, and felt his tarp, hammock lines and gear being touched. He also noted a bent-tree structure near camp the prior evening and disturbed logs and tree piles in the morning, but reported seeing no creature.

The witness and her adult son were camped overnight in tents at a lakeside site. At dusk the witness gave a loud whoop and heard a return whoop from across the lake, followed by elk bugling and a loud knock from behind camp. After going to bed, the witness felt something heavy step on the tent edge and push on her head through the fabric, then heard soft bipedal steps around camp until dawn when another knock was heard.
Possible early morning sighting near Glenwood Woods
The witness was working overnight inside a building at a trailer drop yard when loud chimpanzee-like noises were heard from the north edge near hedge apple trees. The witness yelled toward the sounds and approached to about 60 feet, when branches began shaking. A four-foot reddish animal was seen from behind in the tree with a wedge-shaped head and longer-than-human arms before it moved away out of view while noises continued.

The witness was on the back porch at home around 8 p.m. when a tree-knock-like sound was heard from the woods to the northeast. About five minutes later a low rumble rising into a deep whoop-like sound was heard from the same general area. The witness went inside and turned off the exterior lights. No visual contact was reported.

Two men sat in complete darkness in a forest hotspot talking and playing harmonicas to invite contact while two companions monitored from about 100 yards with a thermal imager. After hearing a stick break and soft knocks, they reported seeing a small red-orange light near the ground that illuminated ferns and silhouetted what looked like a large finger with knuckles moving toward them before fading. They remained on site afterward playing music and talking.

While driving up a mountain road toward a ski area in the early afternoon, the witness and a relative saw a very tall dark figure through a gap in trees from a slowly moving car. The figure was walking away at an angle with long strides and prominent arm swing before passing out of view after about five seconds. The driver did not see it, and the observers were frightened and continued driving without stopping.
Possible sightings and strange occurences close to a couple's home east of Bradford
A couple sitting at a picnic table beside a small pond noticed leaves fluttering with no wind and then saw a very large dark figure about 30 yards away in the treeline swaying back and forth. The wife described a gorilla-like face while her husband focused on the immense body size. After briefly watching them, the figure stepped back into the shadows and disappeared silently.

The witness and a companion were hiking in a national forest when they stopped to rest and eat. After standing up, they noticed a very large reddish-brown figure standing down the mountainside and watched it for about 90 seconds. The figure then walked away into the trees before they could photograph it. A few minutes earlier they had heard an animal sounding in distress from the same direction.

The witness reports catching frogs near a small lake while camping with family and friends when a branch snap was heard. The witness turned and saw two brown hairy figures, one large and one smaller, noting a foul odor and loud screams, with the larger grunting as they left with a long stride. A companion reportedly heard the sounds but did not look.

The witness was driving west on CR42 in the late afternoon when a uniformly dark bipedal figure was seen running along a pasture fence line near cows. The figure was described as at least six feet tall and larger than a human, moving fast with long smooth strides unlike a person's run. It was estimated to be about 150 yards away and appeared to be heading toward the road.

Six people were camping together on a ridge between two rivers over Labor Day weekend. Starting early Saturday morning and continuing Saturday night into Sunday morning, they heard series of very loud roar-like vocalizations from a creek bed several hundred yards away. The sounds lasted up to 45 minutes at a time, frightened the group and a dog, and led a camper to ready a pistol. Steep terrain prevented them from investigating for tracks.

The son wandered a short distance into the woods while helping with yard work and saw a large dark figure with its back turned. The figure turned to face him for several seconds, showing a hairless gray-brown face on a black-haired body with no visible neck and the head set low and forward. The son ran back to his mother and when they looked again the figure was gone.

The witness was driving home in the early morning through a heavily wooded area when a tall, thin figure darted across the road from left to right ahead of the vehicle. The figure crossed both lanes in a few fast strides and was no longer visible when the witness slowed and approached the area. The witness first wondered if it was a person but noted its unusual speed.
Whooping sound wakes and unnerves a couple near West Alexandria
The witness was at home in bed when repeating loud whoop-like sounds woke him and seemed to approach the house, getting louder and more frequent. He woke his wife, who also heard the sound, and went to the back door with a shotgun. When the sound was very close, he fired three rounds toward it, after which the vocalizations stopped and the source receded through the woods behind the house and was never heard again.

The witness was camping alone in a tent trailer at dusk. Loud prolonged yells were heard first from the south and minutes later much louder repeated yells from the north, then again from the south. Frightened by the loudness, the witness lay still in the dark trailer with a firearm until logging trucks passed at dawn.

The witness was riding a personal watercraft up the Pit River arm of Shasta Lake in July. While rounding a turn, the witness saw a large hairy head with eyes about 20 feet from shore staring at them. After a few seconds the head submerged leaving a ripple, and the witness circled and searched the area but found no further sign.

The witness and a companion were finishing a dispersed camping trip and had hiked back to the car on a clear sunny day when the witness looked back at the treeline. About 500 feet away, two jet-black figures were visible near the tops of two adjacent pine trees, first taken for bears. The witness took phone photos and watched for about a minute as the figures stayed mostly still while wiggling and appearing to hug the trunks, then left after the companion grew concerned, later concluding they looked like lean human-like silhouettes rather than bears or humans.
