He found his handgun and flashlight and shone it toward the trail, but the figures were gone. He stayed in the tent, later concluded they were Bigfoot, and left the area that morning.

From a distance they saw a very tall, large, hairy, ape-like figure crossing the highway from left to right on two feet, illuminated by street lights ahead.
