The witness and a cousin were resting against a tree while hunting when they heard a loud moan rising to a prolonged scream from several hundred yards away. A few minutes later they heard a much louder similar scream that sounded immediately behind the tree. They did not see anything, heard something move away through brush, then left for the logging road where other hunters had heard nothing.

During a deer-hunting drive in foggy woods, the witness and his father found large bipedal tracks over their tire marks and concluded a bear could not have made them. As they circled back, an unseen animal tracked them, producing a strong foul odor and a high-pitched squeal before thrashing off toward the mother waiting at the truck. They later found uprooted small trees, additional tracks in camp, hair on fencing, and a woody debris structure, and heard screaming and a howl that prompted a relative to leave camp.

They discovered very large human-like bipedal tracks in fresh snow and traced them along the roadway for close to a mile. After entering the lake basin they repeatedly heard large trees falling nearby about every two minutes and felt the ground thud, with about five falls on the way in and five more while leaving. They never saw any trees fall or anything unusual. Feeling unsafe, they turned back and descended to camp, interpreting the sounds as something trying to drive them away.

The dog became agitated with raised hackles and the witness was frightened. A young couple camped a few hundred yards away heard the same sound outside their site with snapping branches and pacing, and both parties left the lake the next morning.

While kneeling with the dog close by, the witness smelled a strong putrid odor, stood up, and saw a large dark hairy creature standing in a fern patch about 200 feet away. They made eye contact, the creature turned its head and torso showing long arm hair, then walked quickly away. The witness left the area and told no one for a couple days.

The witness and two dogs were walking through a field to check for salmon when an extremely loud hoot-like sound stopped them. After a second loud call they fled toward the house while a third call sounded from behind. They reached the house in terror and later listened from the backyard with a relative but heard nothing further.

The witness left her remote cabin in the evening to go to the outhouse when her guard dog hid under the cabin and she heard something large crashing through nearby alders. She went back inside to get her husband, who also heard crashing through the trees. The next morning they found alders snapped off about four feet up along a flattened trail but found no tracks.
