They found a line of barefoot-like prints with distinct toes crossing the ice for about twenty feet and continuing up a steep bank. In early fall 1996 the witness stopped to pick mushrooms near the Satsop River after checking leases. While kneeling with the dog close by, the witness smelled a strong putrid odor, stood up, and saw a large dark hairy creature standing in a fern patch about 200 feet away. They made eye contact, the creature turned its head and torso showing long arm hair, then walked quickly away. The witness left the area and told no one for a couple days.

The witness was deer hunting from a ridge overlooking a cedar swamp when he noticed a black head repeatedly appearing above 6-7 foot tall cedars at a distance. The head was visible intermittently for 10 to 15 minutes, moving as if foraging, while the surrounding woods were unusually quiet. He first thought it was a bear but concluded it was something else because of its height, head shape and sustained upright posture, leaving when it grew dark.

While walking in darkness they heard a loud scream nearby, then heard it again and later several more times over a couple hours, feeling the source was following them. Over several days and nights they reported heavy impacts, rustling, a skunk-like odor, red eyeshine, wood knocks, whistles, talk-like mumbling, a whoop-ending vocalization, and bent trees and branch structures. The most intense moment was a predawn episode with a deep guttural roar followed by a scream-like sound near camp. They left early after smelling the odor again near a plum thicket.

After a second loud call they fled toward the house while a third call sounded from behind. She later inferred the source must have been 7 to 8 feet tall and believes it may have been a Bigfoot looking into the camper.

A driver stopped to help two motorists whose car had left the road after swerving to avoid a large hairy creature chasing a deer across the road. While fetching a rope from his truck to pull their car out, he walked directly into the creature standing behind his truck. He noted a foul smell, red eyes, and a low growl before it walked to the woods edge and then into the woods. He then helped move the car and continued his trip, shaken by the encounter.

In 1983 the witness was camping and was awakened around 11 p.m. by loud screams repeated every 15-20 seconds that approached through brush. The witness then saw a tall dark shape about 7-8 feet tall striding through undergrowth and yelled, after which it veered to go around and continued on screaming. A foul odor was noticed as it passed, and broken branches were found the next morning.

The witness and a companion were riding horses at night along a dirt road bordered by ditches, woods and pastures when the horses became nervous. The witness heard something moving parallel to them in the woods, keeping pace even as they urged the horses from a gallop to a full run across several fence lines. The parallel movement stopped where the woods ended at the edge of the witness's property. A later search by truck found where something had been, but the creature was never seen.
