Possible vocalizations heard from the Swift Creek Campground on the south slope of the Uintas
The witness and family members were settling to sleep in their trailer at a campground late at night when they heard a distant but distinct whooping-howl sound lasting about 30 seconds. The witness stated that family members also heard it and that it matched a sound previously heard on a website. The family dog did not bark or become upset.
Possible vocalizations heard near East Canyon Reservoir
The witness reports hearing very loud recurring screams and hoot-like sounds coming from canyons near a relative's home in northern Utah over several years, first paying attention to them while camping overnight with a young relative. The sounds are described as fierce, deep, growling and primate-like with a low-frequency component, with calls lasting up to about 15 seconds in series of five or six, sometimes followed by whoops, heard at dusk or night from a mile or so away. Other family members are reported to have heard the same vocalizations over about ten years. The witness, described as a hunter familiar with native animal sounds, found alleged bigfoot recordings similar but not exactly the same.

The witness was camping with family in a remote part of Flaming Gorge National Forest north of Vernal, Utah. After an unusually quiet night, she lay awake in the tent around 7 a.m. while her sister slept and heard two loud, clear whoops she could not identify. She later listened to alleged bigfoot whoop recordings online and felt they matched what she heard.
Possible early morning vocalizations in the Uinta mountains
A large backpacking group was camped in timber near a lake and preparing for the day's hike. They heard several loud whooping vocalizations coming from up the trail and initially assumed another hiking group was nearby. They later found no sign of other visitors in the area and noted an absence of small wildlife.
