Possible Sasquatch vocals at Fraser Lake, 80 miles west of Prince George
The witness stayed awake in a tent at a lakeside campground after a daytime bear encounter left them on edge. Around 1 a.m. they heard about a dozen short whoop-like sounds spaced a second or two apart. The witness could not match the sounds to known animal calls after months of checking and made no recording.
Seasoned outdoors couple hear possible vocalizations while gathering firewood north of Campbell River
The witness and a spouse were collecting firewood on a logging road in the late afternoon when they heard a loud two-toned whooping call from one side, answered by a higher-pitched response from the opposite side. The calls continued back and forth for about a minute in what sounded like communication, while other forest sounds went silent. After the sounds stopped abruptly, normal woods sounds gradually returned several minutes later.

The witness was awakened after 2 a.m. by a loud whooping and howling sound believed to come from the direction of a nearby river. The vocalization continued for about 15 minutes during otherwise quiet conditions, then was heard again briefly farther away. The witness said the sound did not resemble a human or any known animal, but later found it virtually identical to an archival whoop-howl recording.

The witness spent the first night of a camping trip awake in the tent and heard about ten whoop-like vocalizations over roughly five minutes coming from higher up the mountain, with no replies heard. The next morning while hiking a narrow brush-lined trail, the witness found a single large footprint larger than a size 11.5 boot and photographed it with the boot for scale.

The witness and a companion were awakened at home during the night by a series of long, loud piercing screams coming from across the road. After several minutes the screams were followed by quieter whoop sounds from closer to the house. A dog in the house growled at the sounds but would not go outside.

The witness was outside the home late at night and heard a strange loud screaming, yelping or whooping sound. The witness was alone during this first hearing. The sound was later compared to recordings on a research website and felt to be similar.
Possible approaches to a boat ramp on Kootenay Lake
The witness reports sleeping aboard a boat moored in a marina slip and repeatedly hearing a heavy visitor come down the metal access ramp late at night and walk across the floating docks, displacing the dock enough to rock the boat. The steps sound widely spaced and cover the ramp and dock sections unusually quickly. The pattern recurred at least once each summer holiday over several years, with a bucket of fish offal sometimes found emptied afterward and whoop-like vocalizations also heard.
