Possible daylight sighting by motorist 11 miles west of Honobia
The witness was driving toward Honobia in the morning when a reddish-brown figure was seen crossing the highway ahead. The figure moved very quickly on two legs on a diagonal path and disappeared within seconds. The witness later returned to search both sides of the highway for tracks but found none.
Possible daytime sighting behind a home outside Anadarko
Around noon the witness looked out a bathroom window at home near the river and saw a large hair-covered biped about 20 yards away. The creature was seen from behind from the waist up above tall grass as it walked along the tree line toward the river. It took several steps into the trees and down toward the river bottom and disappeared, with longer hair on the head and reddish-brown color in sunlight.

During a church retreat campground stay, the witness lay awake in a top bunk on a stormy night after lights-out. She heard the screen door open and shut, smelled a foul odor, heard heavy shuffling steps and breathing with a soft growl behind her bunk, and felt something large and furry trace her face. She next remembers waking on the floor, and the next morning a bunkmate said she had seen a big black hairy creature standing behind the witness.

On a clear cold night in fall 1971, a group of students gathered at a party spot on Green Hill Road claimed a large hairy creature grabbed one member who had stepped into the woods. Another member reported seeing the animal standing about 20 feet away in a spotlight, prompting the group to flee into town. Later that night a larger group with law officers returned to search the woods but reported seeing nothing, and officers warned them to leave.
