The upper body and head were visible above roughly 3-foot grass, with an estimated total height of about 8 feet. The witness continued about a quarter-mile before being able to stop and return, by which time the figure was gone without a visible trail, and after watching several minutes continued to work.

After he glanced away to reach for his scoped gun he heard it moving through the woods, and when he looked back it had disappeared.

The group noticed a strange odor, heard persistent movement and muffled grunts, and watched something peeping from behind a tree. Later a skinned rabbit hung high in a tree disappeared, bare footprints larger than the workers feet were found in mud by a creek, and loud limb-breaking sounds caused the whole crew to flee.

After an overnight splash and sounds of it leaving, they found hand and finger marks where it had climbed the muddy bank.

Two hunters camping on a remote barrier island awoke in their tent at night to the sound of bipedal footsteps approaching. After silence, something struck their tent and they exited with lights to see a dark, man-sized figure running toward the marsh. They chased it to the marsh edge but could not catch it, and noted a musky odor. They later verified no other boats were present and concluded a person could not have been out in the freezing conditions.
