A couple driving home at dusk saw a tall dark two-legged figure appear directly in front of their car on M-156. The figure crossed the road extremely fast in a few steps and disappeared to the east, leaving them shaken and surprised they had not hit it. An oncoming car also stopped, but the couple never spoke with its occupant.

Two occupants driving at dusk on a forested secondary highway in Oregon passed a very large animal eating in the middle of the road. The animal showed no fear, lifted its head to look at the car as they passed, then resumed eating. The witnesses described it as massive and solid with two-toned hair and an unusual pushed-in snout, estimating it would stand at least seven feet tall erect, and said it did not match bear, wolf, or dog familiar to them.

The dogs chased it for a few minutes and came back frightened, with one running all the way back to shelter. Believing the creature pushed the tree over, the group left quickly.

A relative glassed the area with binoculars, became visibly upset, and said he thought he had seen bigfoot. The group did not approach the tracks or the area and avoided it altogether. The account was relayed secondhand by a close friend of one of the men.
