The witness was driving east on a mountain highway near twilight when she saw a tall, dark, upright figure on the roadside about a quarter-mile ahead. As she approached, the figure slipped fluidly down a steep rocky ravine and disappeared. A few miles farther east, she saw a second, slightly smaller dark figure that likewise moved swiftly and smoothly down the slope, shaking small trees as it passed.

The witness was serving as point man on a night patrol exercise at Ft. Lewis when he encountered a very large human-like figure at close range in moonlight. The figure was described as about six feet tall, robust, covered in black hair with unusually long arms, and its eyes reflected red. The sighting lasted about five seconds at close range and left the witness shocked and fearful for weeks.

The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.
"Brinson Monster"
In 1966 or 1967, several high school students parked at an abandoned farm in the evening reported seeing a tall light-colored upright animal with red eyes watching them. The story spread through the high school where it became known as the Brinson Monster. The narrator notes people at the time did not connect it to Bigfoot or Sasquatch.
