A couple hiking in a wetland preserve heard several loud wood knocks after crossing a boardwalk bridge. Later on the trail they found several large barefoot human-like tracks pressed deeply into mud, which the reporter photographed. No creature was seen and no other unusual events occurred at the time.

They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

A game camera captured a close-up image of long reddish-brown hair directly in front of the lens with no body visible. The property owners then found a series of four large barefoot tracks with visible toes coming from the woods past the same camera. They photographed the tracks with a tape measure, and later investigators measured remaining impressions at about 14 inches long. No one reported seeing the creature directly.

The witness left and returned about an hour later with another dog and found and photographed a large footprint where the creature had walked.

While deer hunting, the witness walked through a field and found odd tracks in deep snow. He knelt for a closer look and noted they had human-like toes. He photographed the tracks, which headed north across his property and were estimated to be at least thirteen inches long.

The prints reportedly came out of the woods onto the road and continued about 160 feet with a long even stride. He shouted that he had a gun while his companion remained asleep, then heard the visitor drink from the water with its hands, sit briefly by the tent, and climb back up. The next morning they found 18-inch tracks at the edge of the reeds.

The main witness waited ahead with two younger companions and reported seeing a tall hairy biped peeking from behind a tree and then from behind a rock. While scouting for deer season, the witness found fresh barefoot-like tracks going through deep mud, briars and a mud swamp instead of the dry trail. The tracks were narrow, deep, long-toed with an apparent left-foot injury, and had a long stride. The witness followed the trackway from the lake inlet across the swamp for about 700 yards until it was lost on dry ground in the forest.
