Two people walking up a marshy hollow came to a split in the stream and found a large mud impression beside a rock on the island. The impression was estimated at about 14 inches long and photographed with a boot for scale. The finder was uncertain whether toe-like shapes were real or imagined.

Late at night at a yurt near a creek, the witness stepped outside and heard loud hooting/howling from across the creek. The sound was heard two more times from inside the yurt, and later the witness saw a faint outline duck behind trees on the hillside. The next morning a partial muddy footprint with hairs was found leading toward the yurt door.

While hiking to search for lost sunglasses, the witness noticed a large human-like barefoot track. The companion later viewed the track and estimated the maker would be at least seven feet tall and the track a few days old. The pair kept watch while returning to the car, and snow fell after they reached home.

The witness rode a snowmobile alone on an unplowed, closed road toward Willow Springs Lake after a heavy overnight snowfall. About a mile and a half from the highway, he found a line of large bare footprints with toes crossing the road from woods to woods. He stopped, turned off the machine, and examined the tracks, noting a long stride in deep snow and no other vehicles or tracks nearby. He had no camera and continued his ride.

The witness was building a house near the Mackinaw River and searching the disturbed mud for arrowheads. Beginning in late September, they noticed bare footprints in the mud larger than their own size 13 foot, including during cold weather. The follow-up clarified a total of three prints estimated at about 14 inches long and 6 inches wide without actual measurement, with photos too unclear to publish. The witness doubted anyone would walk barefoot in cold mud at a construction site.

The witness and a companion were hiking when the companion found large footprints in mud beside a field. They described three deep prints with visible toes that were larger than a boot and spaced wider than a human step, appearing to go into the field and then back into the woods. In the morning an indistinct disturbance entering camp and a freshly snapped tree stump were found, and while hiking out the witness felt watched.

The witness was walking with a dog across a frozen swamp in a woodlot when a line of bare human-like footprints with toes was noticed on ice and bare ground. The witness photographed the prints with a knife for scale within minutes of the discovery. No creature was seen, only the footprints.

A relative found large tracks behind a horse pasture two days after a snowstorm, and the witness followed them about half a mile toward ponds, then photographed and measured them. The tracks were reported as having a 52-inch stride, toe indications and hair-like lines, with one track 17 inches long. Warm rain washed the tracks away before an investigator could view them in person.

The witness was hunting on public land in northeast Iowa just before dark when they found large single-file tracks in snow crossing an alfalfa field. Through the night they heard movement around the tents, sticks hitting trees, branches breaking, and had objects disturbed including a tent stake pulled out. They also reported white eyeshine, a pungent odor, a dark figure seen in the treeline after daylight, and footprints and torn branches found in the morning.
