Possible snow tracks found in Skagit Valley south of Hope (w/photos)
The witness reported finding very large footprint-like tracks in melting snow on a road south of Hope, B.C., with an unusually long stride. The snow had melted to gravel within the outlines, but the shape looked more like a footprint than a boot print. The witness returned home for a camera and yardstick to document track size and spacing and shared photos to ask whether they could be Bigfoot tracks.

In early August 1995, a couple fishing at a neighbor's pond near Addison found large footprints, hair-like material and disturbed vegetation. The witness, working as a night security guard at a facility, stepped onto a rear deck for a patrol around 3 a.m. and heard an extremely loud female-sounding scream from the wooded hillside about 100 feet away. After sunrise he inspected the nearby trail and found large footprints that he measured. He later found a similar scream online and said it matched what he heard.

The owner heard noises by his fenced trash area late at night and went to look with a rifle. He saw an ape-like animal outside the fence, fired into the air, and watched it stand up with its shoulders and head above the 6-foot fence before fleeing through bushes toward the woods. Footprints were left only in soft dirt by the bushes and one was preserved as a plaster cast.

Around 1:30 a.m. he watched a shadow move across the curtained window and translucent roof, apparently cast by a neighbor's porch light, as something slowly circled the camper while lightly tapping its sides. The next morning the family found fingerprint smudges, a large handprint, and large toeprints in spilled sand.

The witness was spending the weekend at a friend's house when the group heard loud high- and low-pitched screaming on a summer Saturday night. Three of them walked toward a field near a river with a flashlight and saw red eyes in the brush while hearing limbs breaking, then ran back to the house. Screaming reportedly continued for hours, and the next midday they found a snapped vine, bark torn high on a tree, disturbed ground, and a partial large heel print.

The witness shone a light and saw a large ape-like figure running away over a hill, then noticed a group of tracks while leaving. A skunk-like brassy odor was noted before the sighting.

They then heard loud roars ending in screams, heavy movement and thudding from across the river, had rocks thrown toward them, and heard splashing and grunting as they left. The witness was elk hunting on horseback in fresh snow and found a human-like trackway crossing near camp with large four-toed prints. He showed the tracks to others in camp and followed them uphill about half a mile through timber. His horse became increasingly nervous sniffing the tracks and refused to continue in blow-downs, so he skirted the timber, found no exit tracks, and gave up the follow.

Two people walking a dog on a trail noticed multiple large human-shaped droppings along the uphill side and discussed them as possible territorial marking. After turning back when a deer startled them, they found a single deep, clear footprint partly hidden by branches and photographed it with a shoe and water bottle for scale. They searched briefly for a natural cause for the impression but left quickly because the companion and dog were agitated.

During extended thesis fieldwork in remote mountain country, the witness found a set of human-like footprints in fine silt on a meander of Upper Slate Creek, noting dermal ridges, five even-length toes, a square shape and no instep, with a 20-inch stride noted in follow-up. Three pieces of mottled brown feces with a faint odor were found with the prints. No creature was seen and no other person was present for this find.
