August 2005; Temagami, Ontario - A father, his son and girlfriend are witness to several incidents in northern Ontario.
The witness and two companions explored a deforested and mined area with piled boulders and abandoned mine buildings. Over about an hour they heard tapping from the woods, running footfalls, crashing in brush, and other strange noises, while stones were reportedly thrown toward the companions. They also found many snapped trees and a very large mound of possible scat that a tossed rock sank into.

The witness and three relatives returned at night by power boat to the isolated shore where trees had swayed earlier that day. They cut the engine about 20 feet from shore and watched into the darkness. Three objects splashed close to the boat over about a minute, believed to be thrown rocks, with no other sounds heard, before they restarted the engine and left.

The witness, his wife, and their infant son walked to a fishing pool along a brushy creek after noticing a strong odor. While the witness fished, his wife heard a rock land beside her on a gravel bar, followed by cracking noises like branches breaking underfoot in the forest behind them. The witness threw rocks toward the sounds thinking it was a bear, but the noises continued, so the family packed up and left without further incident.
