The witness was walking home at night near a creek when something began throwing sticks and rocks and following her. The throwing reportedly paused when cars passed. She ran to a bridge where the pursuer entered bushes but continued throwing objects, while she heard footsteps, smelled a strong bad odor, and glimpsed only a large dark figure. Footprints were reportedly found in sand the next day.

While hiking with a companion, the witness heard a low growling sound that the companion did not hear. Moments later a baseball-sized rock landed where the witness had just been standing, with no visible source. The pair then heard loud wood-on-wood impacts first ahead on the hill and then behind them, which they could not explain. They reported no sighting, odor, or footprints, and nearby hikers with dogs showed no unusual reaction.

A large rock was thrown from the wooded bank and splashed into the creek ahead of them, after which one of them fired warning shots and they turned back. As they paddled back after dark, they heard heavy footsteps in the woods that stopped when they stopped paddling and resumed when they paddled, continuing until they reached the road.

A group was camped in a forested valley and spent the afternoon and night sitting and talking. They heard knocks from a nearby ridge followed by small rocks thrown toward camp, some hitting a tent. A deer came within about ten feet of the group in the evening and remained nearby all night, at times appearing alert toward the woods. The group did not report seeing a creature.
