The witness was fishing with two children and a dog at a remote lake when they heard a loud crash and tree-breaking sounds nearby. Over the next few hours they heard repeated rhythmic knocking, noticed a strong foul odor, and saw the dog become frightened and cling to them. They also noted many small snapped trees and worn foliage around the lake. They left in the afternoon feeling watched without ever seeing an animal.

The witness was deer hunting from a tree stand in the evening when two does fled past appearing nervous. He then smelled a strong foul odor, a log was thrown against the base of his tree, and something moved away through thick brush without being clearly seen. A loud scream was heard shortly afterward from the far end of the woods, after which he remained in the stand for about an hour before leaving.

Two roommates heard loud wailing vocalizations from outside while watching a movie late at night. The sounds started low and guttural then rose to a high wavering pitch and repeated after a pause, causing neighborhood dogs to react loudly. After the sounds stopped, the witness stepped outside, noticed a horrible smell and a feeling of being watched, then went back inside.

After hearing screams the previous evening, the witness and a companion walked into a heavily wooded area along a power line toward a creek. They felt they were being followed and then saw a large bipedal figure moving toward the creek. Frightened, they headed back toward the road and noticed a large footprint in fresh mud along the way.

In 1982 three companions were fishing along a river when they noticed an absence of birds and wildlife and a feeling of being watched. They then observed a figure watching them from a wooded ridge 50 to 75 yards away for about 45 minutes. When they left, the figure followed them at a distance as they walked about a mile back to the truck, during which they also noticed a faint dead-like smell.

The witness and a relative were rabbit hunting after a light fresh snowfall when they found large fresh footprints leading into a tree grove and noticed a musty odor. They heard nothing, became frightened, and left immediately for the car. The witness notes the memory is old and that no photos were taken.
