While deer hunting near Hyatt Lake, the witness heard a large object crash through the woods moving away. Shortly after stopping, the witness heard tree knocks from the same direction, then heard additional knocks behind while walking back to a truck on the main road. Despite aiming a rifle scope toward the sounds from under 100 yards away, the witness saw nothing and was frightened.
Possible activity experienced by campers at a popular campground in the Mount Hood National Forest
The witness and two companions camped in the Mt Hood National Forest with a barrel of animal entrails intended as bait. Over three days they reported loud screams from a nearby ridge, nighttime wood knocks, heavy steps and snapping twigs, and found their camp table apparently bitten through. They moved the bait pile away from camp, later found most of it missing with a wet sweet dog-like odor at the site.

While bow-hunting, the witness heard repeated loud knocks from nearby woods lasting many minutes, then later heard brush rustling moving toward an elk call. After repositioning along a road, the witness heard a final very loud knock from a large tree about 30 yards away and left the area as darkness fell. Late at night the witness and a companion at home heard loud roaring scream patterns from across a small lake that they judged non-human and primate-like, appearing to respond to barking dogs and move along the shore. About three minutes later they heard a violent scuffle with thudding, brush noise and a dog's pained yelp followed by quiet splashing. The next morning a canoe dock where the scuffle was heard was seen destroyed, and the dog was later found alive but limping.

On July 3 the witness was walking his loaded bicycle along Highway 242 west of Sisters in the early evening. From about 50 feet away in the woods he heard four evenly spaced wood-on-wood knocks, then saw a large bush shake and heard a low animal-like growl. Two companions on a dirt-bike camping trip found a trail they had used all day blocked by a large log at dusk and camped overnight. Around midnight something large crashed through brush, rocks were thrown into camp, and loud screaming and growling occurred. The pair fled in their truck, leaving gear behind, and returned briefly at midday the next day to retrieve it.

The witness and a companion were hiking in fresh snow with no prior tracks ahead. They found very large human-like tracks with a long stride and followed them about two miles. Near a turn the tracks stopped, snow clumps rolled down an embankment and brush moved as if something had just jumped uphill, and the pair left quickly.

They heard something crashing away into brush and found a corral-post tree snapped over with large human-like footprints around its base. They concluded the prints were not from a bear and later wiped them out while telling other family members it was a bear.

From the surrounding trees they heard heavy footsteps and low soft grunting as an unseen source circled them twice over about ten minutes. Becoming uneasy, they walked out, stopped to listen, then hurried to their car while discussing the possibility it was Bigfoot.

Four college geology students camping at night heard howling from a canyon and then saw the outline of a huge bipedal animal on the road in moon and campfire light. When the animal approached, one student fired a rifle several times, after which it crossed the road and moved noisily up the opposite slope through brush. A responding deputy examined the area the next day and reported indistinct impressions, small pushed-over trees and long uphill strides, but no blood or fur.

No tracks were found with a flashlight, and the witness later concluded it was a Bigfoot.

The witness and a relative drove into a forested area near lava flows and walked a short distance down a trail to watch the sunset. They heard grunting and other sounds and noticed bushes moving as something appeared to follow them for about a quarter mile. Back at the car, something very close screamed and shook the bushes violently, frightening them into quickly driving away.
