The witness was sleeping lightly in a tent on family property during a reunion camping trip after several nights of growls, whoops, and sounds of movement in the woods. About 1:46am something pressed the back of the tent against her back, grabbed her left arm through the fabric, and shook the tall air mattress violently while a bright white light shone on the tent. The shaking and light stopped, and she found the tent had been pushed 5 to 7 feet forward. She stayed awake, left the next morning, and later found fingerprint-like marks on her arm that were photographed.

Three people walking a gated logging road in the morning heard owl-like calls that seemed to come from ground level, move with them, and come from both sides of the trail. They also heard muffled voice-like sounds and a very loud, low-pitched growl from close in the forest. They noticed oddly broken and arranged branches near a marsh and clearing, felt unwelcome and watched, and left when the sounds stopped near the car.

Most nights they heard moaning/howling and reciprocal wood knocks that seemed to move closer, and one night heard growls outside the tent but saw nothing when they rushed out with guns and flashlights. Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.

The witness reported intense fear, unusual silence, bunched cattle, and dogs hiding. The witness was camping with a group on a friend's undeveloped property and spent two nights riding ATVs to a remote spot to try imitation yells and tree knocks for fun. The group reported hearing responding knocks, high-pitched vocalizations, loud grunt-like growls from in front and behind, and a very loud tree-breaking sound, all from about 75 to 300 yards away. Nothing was ever seen, and the group left the hillside quickly after the close growls, later listening from camp.

After a companion fell asleep, the witness decided to walk home late at night along a road bordered by young planted trees. Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.

House cats reacted defensively during the sounds, which lasted a couple minutes before everything went quiet. After they stopped at the end of a side road, the witness heard a deep low growl from nearby brush without seeing the source. After waiting until dark for two companions, the pair walked out back-to-back while loud walking and brush sounds paced them for about a half mile to the truck.

Late at night the witness walked home alone along a familiar wooded trail and heard something moving parallel in the brush, breathing heavily. When the witness stopped the sounds stopped, and when walking resumed the follower kept pace. The witness ran toward home and the follower pursued onto gravel and pavement on two feet while making low growls and calls and trying to cut the witness off. At the house the witness's dog confronted the unseen pursuer, which halted very close before withdrawing into the brush.

The witness was sitting with two companions around a fire behind the house near a wooded swamp late at night. They repeatedly heard a long whoop-like growling sound from the woods but saw nothing. The first occurrence was in late summer 2008, and similar sounds were heard again in March 2009.

The sounds were described as long, low-pitched roar-like screams with a growly tone that dropped lower in pitch. Their dogs became clingy and whined, and were brought inside. On Saturday morning they began hearing very loud guttural scream-growls that seemed to warn them away from certain areas, including the path to the lake, and the sounds continued into Sunday. Overnight they heard cooking gear clanging and a heavy thump like logs dumped beside their trailer, but in the morning the gear was largely in place and no logs were found, and the companion also reported a strong putrid smell.

On the return they heard sounds suggesting something was following them, and the women in camp reported rocks being thrown near camp and brush moving. After going to bed the group heard a loud screech/scream twice, and before sunrise one woman was awakened by a close growl near the tent. No creature was seen.

The witness and two companions were coming inside from a hot tub when they heard chirping calls from two sources that seemed to answer each other. This was followed by about five minutes of very scary howling and screaming sounds ending with chirps. The family dog reacted fearfully and would not leave the porch. The witness later said the sounds matched online recordings of alleged vocalizations.
