The witness was tent camping near a lake with children who remained asleep. Around 2 a.m. the witness heard a series of angry, howl-like calls with a deep growl undertone lasting about 10 minutes. The witness, familiar with local elk and owl sounds, did not believe those animals made the sound.

A family camping near Bear Canyon Lake was awakened about 4 AM Sunday by repeated loud, angry howling, screaming and growling estimated about 150 yards away. The calls continued many times and caused coyotes to react, while the family stayed quiet in their tent until daylight. Neighboring campers had left by morning so they could not be interviewed.

The witness was asleep in bed at home when awakened around midnight by fighting-like animal noises outside the window. After a pause, whoop-like calls were heard from multiple directions, followed by articulated grunting that frightened the witness and stopped when a car passed. Minutes later a loud branch crack was heard from the yard edge, and no sign was found the next morning.

The witness was staying alone in a trailer and went uphill to check what triggered a house motion light. He reports seeing a giant upright human-like silhouette near the house that made a loud howl/scream/growl directed at him before turning toward the forest. He ran back to his trailer and found no clear footprints the next morning due to dry ground.
