The witness was sleeping lightly in a tent on family property during a reunion camping trip after several nights of growls, whoops, and sounds of movement in the woods. About 1:46am something pressed the back of the tent against her back, grabbed her left arm through the fabric, and shook the tall air mattress violently while a bright white light shone on the tent. The shaking and light stopped, and she found the tent had been pushed 5 to 7 feet forward. She stayed awake, left the next morning, and later found fingerprint-like marks on her arm that were photographed.

The witness and her son were hunting from a deer stand at dusk when they heard prolonged pig squealing followed by silence and then saw deer behaving erratically. Minutes later they heard repeated groups of wood-on-wood knocks answered from different directions, then a deep warbling growling talking-like sound that was not English. Frightened, they left the stand without ever seeing an animal.

They also heard muffled voice-like sounds and a very loud, low-pitched growl from close in the forest. Late at night the witness was gaming at home when she heard a deep growl that grew louder and shifted into a loud distressed bellowing outside her office window. She looked toward the window and saw a pair of yellow-green luminous eyes watching her for a few seconds before they turned and moved away. She initially thought the eyes might be human but concluded they were not, and the next day found no tracks beneath the window.

The witness searched outside with a light and firearm but saw nothing, and the sounds stopped after dawn.

The witness, spouse, and dog were camping and cooking at a campsite after dark. They heard hoot-like calls from below, then a loud growl-howl about 100 yards behind them lasting seconds, followed by answering howl-scream calls from two other directions. They judged the sounds unlike known local wildlife and indicating communication among several sources. The dog hid in the car and the couple packed up in the dark and drove home the same night.

After the cracking stopped abruptly, the dog investigated and normal animal sounds resumed.

The witness and a companion were camping beside a creek in July 2020. Shortly after nightfall they heard a deep loud growl from about 10 feet inside the treeline and retreated to their vehicle. A large angular rock landed near them after they heard it moving through the air, followed by a loud grunt, a foul odor, and heavy footsteps approaching downhill. Fearing a bear, they fled down the switchback trail while the footsteps cut straight downhill behind them for about five minutes before stopping. They abandoned personal items, returned to the trailhead, and left the area.

He then heard loud raspy breathing and growling and smelled a strong obnoxious odor for about five minutes before the animal ran away along the treeline and the woods went quiet.

Most nights they heard moaning/howling and reciprocal wood knocks that seemed to move closer, and one night heard growls outside the tent but saw nothing when they rushed out with guns and flashlights. Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.
