The witness was camping with family near Fish Lake and sitting around a campfire at night with five others. The group heard a very loud whistling-screaming sound that was close at first and then faded. Later that night the witness heard similar sounds from much farther away.

As children searching for a trail to a nearby plaza, the witness and a friend heard a noise and saw three tan-colored, unclothed, upright figures jogging in single file on a ridge above them. The figures were larger than a very large man and moved away at moderate speed during an encounter lasting about 20 seconds. The boys then left the woods quickly and returned to the friend's house.

The witness and several relatives heard a very loud howling-screaming-yelling sound coming from the direction of the power lines for about an hour at night. The witness said the sound was unlike familiar local wildlife and was extremely loud and unsettling.

Later, while sleeping alone in a tent, the witness was awakened by heavy footsteps, ground vibrations, and breaking branches very close by. The witness was hiking with a child after becoming lost and stopped by a berry thicket along an old logging road to pick berries. The witness heard footsteps moving through thick brush behind the thicket, called out, and felt watched as the steps paused then resumed more slowly. An unseen source then produced a very loud deep growl rising toward a roar, prompting the witness to flee with the child.

The witness was driving north on Highway 95 in the early morning hours en route to a business appointment in the Coeur d'Alene and Hayden area. He looked in his rearview mirror and saw a large, man-like creature walking across the roadway behind his vehicle. He turned around and returned to the crossing location, but the creature had disappeared into dense vegetation.

The witness was driving home from work in the early morning when an oncoming car flashed its high beams. While rounding a curve, the headlights illuminated a tall dark human-like figure by a fence that appeared to look toward the car with red reflective eyes, causing intense fear. The witness later wondered what the occupants of the other car had seen.

The witness ran about three miles up an unused dusty fire road while making noise with rocks in a bottle to avoid bears, then turned back. About a mile into the return they noticed two sets of large human-like footprints crossing their own tracks diagonally that had not been there on the way up. The witness described a large set and a smaller miniature set and then ran out of the area quickly.

In the summer of 1996 the witness was with two companions around a large bonfire on a neglected wooded farm property. An extremely loud scream-like vocalization was heard from the lower wooded ground and seemed to circle around the group. The witness felt the source was upset by the fire and was disturbed because it moved closer rather than away. Hearing alleged Bigfoot vocalizations on television later reminded the witness of the sound.

The witness and a companion were driving logging roads looking for footprints. About 20 feet off a secluded logging road they found multiple footprints about 14 inches long in firm ground. They were able to follow the prints for 15 feet before losing the trail.

The witness reported a strong feeling of being watched from a wooded hillside and then found a very large human-like footprint in ground too firm to show their own tracks. The witness was on a multi-day winter camping trip with her husband in a remote area. One evening she left the camper to collect ice, felt watched, and hurried back. Later that night while sleeping in the overhead camper bed she awoke to the camper being nudged and heard a deep sniffing sound outside at the level of the sleeping area. Her husband slept through it, and no tracks were found because the snow was packed to ice.

After daylight she searched around the house and found two large bare footprints in the driveway about 50 feet away, with no other tracks nearby. They heard a loud, persistent, unfamiliar vocalization from across the hollow that seemed to move behind the camp over 15-20 minutes. The witness and her young son were sleeping on the first floor to escape the heat. The son woke the witness saying a strange being was watching him. The son later said a picture on a Bigfoot website matched what he saw, described as having red eyes and bent over with hands on knees. The witness did not see it herself and asked if other reports existed in the area.
