One morning the family found several very large footprints in damp dirt outside the cabin, so large that an adult foot was dwarfed inside one. The witness was solo backpacking in the North Boundary area of Jasper National Park in 1987 or 1988. Near midday he found several very fresh, large human-like barefoot prints crossing the muddy trail at an angle from dense bush toward a bog. He estimated they were less than an hour old but took no photos and continued hiking, later concluding they may have been sasquatch tracks. He reported nothing else unusual for the rest of the trip.

Three companions walking back from swimming along a forestry road felt watched and heard snapping branches and rustling paralleling their movement. When they shouted and threw rocks toward the roadside bushes, rocks were thrown back at them while growling sounds were heard and the accompanying dog barked. Frightened, they ran to a nearby activity centre and later told a parent, who suggested a bear.

The witness was visiting a relative's remote cabin in Vermont late at night when the group heard a loud, child-like screaming approaching from a wooded ridge. The source was described as moving quickly along the ridge and disturbing dogs as it passed. It approached to within about 100 feet of the porch where the witness stood with a relative, then turned and left down the valley. The only visual was a dark shape with eyeshine about four feet off the ground, and the source was never identified.

The snow had melted to gravel within the outlines, but the shape looked more like a footprint than a boot print. The witness returned home for a camera and yardstick to document track size and spacing and shared photos to ask whether they could be Bigfoot tracks.

A man hunting small game claimed a tall, fully hairy figure walked across a dirt road near Skilak Lake. The figure paused, looked in his direction appearing surprised, then left swiftly into the woods. The witness watched from a few hundred yards away in daylight, loaded his shotgun because he was unsure of intent, and later chose not to tell authorities for fear of disbelief.

While hunting near a lake in the fall of 1970, the witness reported a strong musky odor, unusual large and small scat, rhythmic thumping with ground vibration, and a large dead tree falling nearby while alone. Over two-week periods in 1992 and 1993, the witness repeatedly heard loud nighttime sounds near a lakeside cabin, described as whistling, chattering, screams and deep thumping lasting one to four minutes. A tall shape then appeared at the side window, and they remained huddled inside without sleep until morning.
