Possible Sasquatch wood knocks in forested riverbed beside Chama during lockdown
Two people were day-hiking on a trail by the Rio Chama in late July 2020. After returning a fearful dog to the car, they heard loud resonant knocks nearby that were answered by lighter-toned knocks from farther away. Believing the sounds were exchanging responses, they decided to leave the area.
Possible nighttime encounter by a couple camping in the Jemez Mountains
The witness and a companion were sleeping in their vehicle at a forest campsite. During the night they heard something rubbing against the vehicle, knocking items over, and rummaging around camp, including toppling chairs and a canopy. The companion, while lying down, reported seeing a tall black shape pass the window and leave away from roads. In the morning the chairs were overturned and the canopy was found upside down about 20 feet away, with otherwise little disturbance and no clear prints.
Mescalero Reservation resident sees silhouetted figure swaying at window, large footprints outside house
The witness was awake in a ground-floor bedroom late at night when she heard heavy breathing and something striking the outside wall. A large dark silhouette appeared at the closed bedroom window, swaying as if trying to see inside, and remained for several minutes despite the TV volume being raised. The next morning she and her daughter found large five-toed footprints in snow by the walkway.

The witness and a companion were hunting and camping in the mountains of northern New Mexico. On the evening of Oct 2 the witness heard a scream/howl while returning to camp, while the companion heard stick-like knocks near camp. The next morning the witness heard the scream/howl again in the same area and the companion again heard knocks from about 200 yards away.

The witness was hunting and staying in a tent in the Chuska Mountains. At about 12:30 a.m. the witness heard two clear wood knocks from the north side of the tent. The witness listened for additional knocks or noises but heard nothing further.

The witness and a child sat in a parked pickup with windows down near a night listening location. After waiting, they heard a prolonged clamor of fighting coyotes uphill with a distinct human- or ape-like yowling mixed in lasting about 45 seconds. The witness and relatives were sleeping in a tent at an abandoned family homesite. In darkness the witness heard bipedal footsteps approach, contact and scratch the rain cover and disturb stakes, then heard a second set of footsteps nearby and distant rock-clicking sounds. After triggering a vehicle alarm, a branch broke as something walked away. In the morning the witness found a footprint-like mark, lifted stakes, and bent trees.

The witness went outside in the early morning to see if there was room in the trash cans. From the direction of the river, the witness heard scream-like vocalizations while the surroundings were otherwise silent. The witness then went inside to get a relative to listen, but no further sounds were heard.

The witness had been camping and fishing for several days and went upstream alone at first light. After feeling watched and noticing the woods go quiet, the witness saw brush and trees shaking but could not make out the source. Minutes later while heading back toward camp, the witness heard a guttural moan or cry from across the river and believed something followed downstream. The witness ran back to camp, injuring an ankle, and noted the behavior and sound differed from prior bear encounters.
Possible night time sighting by a resident in the Carrizo neighborhood of Mescalero IR
After being awakened around 1 a.m. by barking dogs and loud screaming and hollering sounds that lasted about ten minutes and came closer, the witness looked out a window and saw a tall hairy man-like figure standing at another window looking in. The witness hid, then later saw the figure walking away into the dark carrying something. A sour body odor was noticed during the presence, and deer jerky hanging on the front porch was missing the next morning.
Nighttime screams heard near residences on Mescalero IR
On the night of July 29, 2000, the witness and companions were getting home late when they heard loud screaming or screeching several times over about 10 minutes from behind houses. Dogs in the area that had been howling and barking became quiet after the sounds. No creature was seen during the main event.
Professor and students discover series of large footprints crossing high mountain trail
The witness was hiking with straggling students toward a mountain lake when they found a line of very large human-like barefoot prints crossing the trail at a right angle. The prints were described as huge, wide, unusually deep, and widely spaced on a steep snowy slope, heading away from the lake. The witness told the students the prints were probably enlarged hiker tracks but privately regarded them as extremely unusual.

The witness, suffering back pain while elk hunting, crawled to a sunny clearing and rested against a low stump. For over an hour, softball-sized rocks were thrown from the treeline at intervals under a minute, striking trees about eight feet up and landing nearby, with no other noise. The witness radioed his brother, who arrived and jointly watched the rock-throwing continue for about 30 minutes. Afterward they searched toward the source but found no tracks due to rocky ground and saw no thrower.

In September 1998 the witness and a companion were stalking elk in the morning when they heard a very loud, low, powerful growl nearby. The witness, an experienced hunter, said he had never heard anything like it and his companion was very frightened. They stopped hunting for the day and returned to camp without seeing the source.
Observations by locals along the San Juan River
The witness reports a large hairy thing that walks along the San Juan River onto the reservation and is known to local residents. The thing is said to smell strongly, make loud noises that set dogs howling, and appear every few years near the witness home about an eighth-mile from the river. Residents avoid going down to the river because of its presence.

Two campers were awakened in their tent around 1 a.m. by distant screams that grew closer as the source moved through the campground. The screams sounded like a woman or baby, with grunts and sniffing pauses between, and the source stopped very close to their tent before moving away and fading. The witnesses stayed inside the tent and never saw the source.

About 20 years ago, the witness and a cousin were walking early in the morning toward the paved road to hitchhike to work. From the treeline across the road they heard frightening noises that seemed to follow them, stopping when they stopped and moving when they ran, with branches snapping audible. With no nearby houses for refuge, they flagged down a passing truck and got in.
Hunters experience powerfull knocks on camper and hear vocalizations outside Jicarilla Indian Reservation
During an evening at a deer-hunting camp, the group heard loud bangs on the side of their camper on two occasions but found no one outside. Later that night while around a campfire, all five heard prolonged screaming and moaning sounds coming from across an arroyo toward the foothills. Two members walked toward the sounds but saw nothing, and a search of the area the next day found nothing unusual.
