Two companions walking on a Lake Superior beach at dusk with a dog approached a large driftwood pile when the dog reacted and stopped. They saw a large dark upright silhouette on the far side of the pile that bent down, gripped a log as if to climb over, then ducked out of view when a flashlight was aimed at it. The head was seen popping up briefly before they retreated to the parking lot.

The witness was staying five nights in a lakeside cabin in February with heavy snow. On three consecutive nights around 10 p.m., after stepping outside for a cigarette, the witness heard a very loud knock in the woods, often followed shortly by more distant knocks. The witness and a companion were fly-fishing in a river at night when they heard distant screams they did not recognize. Later they heard mumbling, speech-like sounds coming from dense brush in front of them that did not seem human. Unable to see the source and feeling frightened, they left the area.

Seven people standing outside a rural home at night smelled a foul odor and heard a loud whoop from the woods across the street. The husband retrieved a gun and sent the children inside, then imitated the whoop. A fainter whoop was then heard replying from farther away.

Five people camped in a remote forest-swamp area to look for sasquatch. After they went to sleep in their tents, they were awakened a little after 4 a.m. by a very loud long yell lasting about 10 seconds from roughly 50 yards away, with coyote yelps and several shorter yells mixed in. After the sounds stopped the woods went completely silent.

Around 2:30 a.m. the witness and his daughter were walking from the house to a detached garage bordering the national forest when they noticed movement and a white, human-like furry figure about 100 feet away looking toward them. The figure moved very quickly in a half-circle and crouched near a tree, then was seen standing motionless with its back to them as they approached. They ran back to the garage frightened and later discussed that they could not match it to a known animal.

Late at night the witness was returning from taking trash to the dumpster when he saw a tall brownish upright figure moving away from his open garage toward his camper. He lit its upper body with a flashlight and watched it glide silently behind the camper and then into the thick woods without a sound. He retrieved a rifle and searched the woods but found the terrain difficult to cross and found no tracks. A neighbor suggested a bear on its hind legs, but the witness felt the thin human-like form and silent movement did not fit.

The witness and a companion walked night trails and noticed a stationary bright light over a ridge. They then heard bipedal footsteps from an embankment, felt watched, and smelled a skunk-like odor. While leaving across the bridge they heard prolonged crying/calling vocalizations that continued to the trailhead. The witness later concluded the sounds matched Bigfoot recordings found online.

The witness was driving in daylight fog when he saw a large dark figure standing in the road ahead. As his car approached with headlights on, the figure crossed into a grassy ditch and then into the woods about 10 feet from the road. He slowed to 5 mph while passing but found no trail or driveway where it had gone.

The witness was steelhead fishing alone upriver in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the morning. The witness found two sets of barefoot tracks of different sizes crossing a four-foot-deep stretch of river. The tracks were described as flat, broad, without arches, and sinking deeper than the witness's own tracks. The witness believed they were recently made and not human, and took photos and video.

The wife woke in the early morning hearing seven low-volume knocks like wood striking a tree from the woods east of the house. She woke her husband, who heard nothing himself. They later looked for tracks but fresh snow prevented finding anything. The husband later wondered if the knocks were related to Bigfoot after seeing a nearby report.

One animal then charged through brush, knocked vegetation down, and a tree was heard being ripped down, followed by silence and faint hiding sounds. Neither witness obtained a visual, and they left without crossing the river to investigate.

The reporter came over, photographed and measured 17.5-inch prints with strides up to 4.5 feet, and followed them to a steep creek ravine that the maker ascended without slipping. No creature was seen, and a sample of discolored snow was collected.

On the morning of November 15, the witness was deer hunting when back-and-forth calling was heard lasting until daybreak. The sounds were described as lower pitched than coyote or wolf and coming from nearby, with knocks to the northwest preceding howling from the southwest. The woods were unusually quiet, with spooky deer and few gunshots despite many hunters in the area.

Two witnesses were on the back deck of a vacation cabin at night with a small leashed dog when they heard a loud grunting/growling sound from bushes about 60 feet away. The dog was alert and barking at the bushes. Frightened, both people went back inside the house.

The witness and a companion were night fishing from a boat off a wooded shoreline when large rocks began landing in the water near their lures. Three rocks landed progressively closer to the boat, the last about 10 yards away, after the pair heard movement on the ridge above the shore. Unable to see anyone on the shoreline, the pair left the lake and returned to their cabin without further incident.

At a remote camp in late July 2013, several children were playing outside and knocking on trees. The daughter ran inside saying she had seen a tall brown biped that walked, looked at her, then dropped to all fours and ran off. A parent did not see the creature but said the daughter was adamant and visibly shaken.
