A couple was driving on an old muddy road near a campground searching for a place to camp. The wife, riding as passenger, glimpsed from the corner of her eye a tall upright dark figure emerging from the tree line toward the road that then went back into the woods. The husband, who was driving, saw nothing. The glimpse lasted only a few seconds in daylight.
Possible vocalizations after midnight from cornfield near Wonder Lake
Late at night the witness was walking in a rural neighborhood when a deep grunting yell was heard coming from a nearby cornfield. The witness also recalls hearing heavy walking or footfalls just before the yell. The sound was described as echoing and startling, and no visual of the source was reported.
Hammock Slapped, Bipedal Walking, and Two Vocalizations Experienced by Trio of Campers
Three campers spent the night in separate tent and hammock shelters arranged around a campfire at a remote site. During the night the reporting witness was awakened by a slap to his tarp, while the companions reported bipedal footsteps circling their shelters. Shortly after the footsteps left, two loud howls were heard about 15 minutes apart. No creature was seen and no footprints were found in the morning due to leaf cover.

The witness was driving on an interstate at night with two companions when a large bipedal figure was seen walking along the treeline. The figure made eye contact, took a couple of steps toward the trees, looked back again, then continued into the woods. It was described as very tall, stocky, light tan in color, stooped, with red eyeshine.

After midnight an on-duty officer searching for a stolen snowmobile along a river heard loud crashing and heavy running in a treeline. He then found large human-like footprints in snow, with two larger sets and one smaller set, showing a long stride and signs of running. He and two deputies photographed the tracks and interpreted the trail as individuals scouting, pausing, and circling before leaving, then withdrew from the area.

The witness and a companion were driving home in the evening when they rounded a corner and saw a large upright grayish-black animal standing in the middle of the road. The animal took a few strides and disappeared into the surrounding heavy woods. The witness estimated it was about seven feet tall and said its face was obscured by hair.

The witness reported finding several large footprints in dirt where a prairie grass field meets woods during a sunny afternoon. The prints were documented by video and preserved by casting, with five toes visible and a reported size of fifteen inches long by six inches wide. No creature was seen during this find. The witness left the woods while still hearing the noises and returned the next morning to find the blood trail ended with no deer.

They heard loud crashing described as something moving fast and hard and breaking limbs. They then found several footprints in mud left after rain, one of which was photographed and measured.

The witness was performing pest control service when they found a trail of large prints with toe impressions in snow. They took photos and video and tried to follow the trail until it ended where there was no snow. They did not see the maker of the prints. A follow-up phone call recorded estimates of 18 inches long by 8 inches wide with five toes and short steps.

Late at night the witness was driving home near a wildlife area when headlights revealed a large bipedal figure beside the treeline about 15-20 feet from the road. The figure appeared to be walking away into the trees showing its back, and when the witness stopped the headlights had moved past it so nothing could be seen. The witness then left the area alone.

The witness was driving home from work in the late afternoon when they saw an upright figure cross the highway ahead and continue north. By the time the witness reached the crossing point, the figure was no longer visible. The witness described this as their second sighting in the Hagaman Bottoms area.
Possible early morning sighting near Glenwood Woods
The witness was working overnight inside a building at a trailer drop yard when loud chimpanzee-like noises were heard from the north edge near hedge apple trees. The witness yelled toward the sounds and approached to about 60 feet, when branches began shaking. A four-foot reddish animal was seen from behind in the tree with a wedge-shaped head and longer-than-human arms before it moved away out of view while noises continued.

The witness was driving home in the early morning through a heavily wooded area when a tall, thin figure darted across the road from left to right ahead of the vehicle. The figure crossed both lanes in a few fast strides and was no longer visible when the witness slowed and approached the area. The witness first wondered if it was a person but noted its unusual speed.

[name withheld] witness and a companion were driving slowly toward a river fishing area in [name withheld] early afternoon when a dark, bulky, very hairy animal appeared in front of them. It first moved fast on all fours toward [name withheld] treeline, then turned, stood and walked briefly on two legs showing white and brown coloration, and disappeared into brush after looking back.

The witness was driving on a rural road in the evening when a large dark hairy quadruped resembling a bear was seen standing in a field beside the car. The animal reportedly kicked a back leg, turned to look at the witness, and remained standing. The witness later returned with a camera and photographed footprints in the snow, and noted a dead deer carcass nearby.

He saw a dark figure moving along the field edge and into a ravine about 60 yards away, walking upright on two legs, and heard something walking in the ravine.
