The witness was sleeping in a parked semi-truck in a pine forest with an alarm set for 4:15 a.m. The witness awoke minutes early, stepped out to look around and saw nothing, then got back in the truck. While back inside, the witness heard a loud high-pitched whooping sound echoing through the forest that the witness had never heard before.

As children searching for a trail to a nearby plaza, the witness and a friend heard a noise and saw three tan-colored, unclothed, upright figures jogging in single file on a ridge above them. The figures were larger than a very large man and moved away at moderate speed during an encounter lasting about 20 seconds. The boys then left the woods quickly and returned to the friend's house.

While rounding a curve, the headlights illuminated a tall dark human-like figure by a fence that appeared to look toward the car with red reflective eyes, causing intense fear. The witness later wondered what the occupants of the other car had seen.

The witness ran about three miles up an unused dusty fire road while making noise with rocks in a bottle to avoid bears, then turned back. About a mile into the return they noticed two sets of large human-like footprints crossing their own tracks diagonally that had not been there on the way up. An extremely loud scream-like vocalization was heard from the lower wooded ground and seemed to circle around the group. The witness felt the source was upset by the fire and was disturbed because it moved closer rather than away. Hearing alleged Bigfoot vocalizations on television later reminded the witness of the sound.

The witness and a companion were driving logging roads looking for footprints. About 20 feet off a secluded logging road they found multiple footprints about 14 inches long in firm ground. They were able to follow the prints for 15 feet before losing the trail.
