The witness was walking through a field with family members near the base of Black Mountain. He reported seeing a large black creature move into the treeline at the end of the field. He described it as walking on two legs with a human- or ape-like backside and bipedal movement.

The witness was cycling back toward Morrow on the Little Miami Bike Trail when he heard a single loud, crisp knock from atop the hill to the east. He saw no other people on that stretch and found no obvious human or natural source for the sound. He stored the incident without seeing any animal or figure.

Late at night the witness sat alone by an outdoor fire when he heard a loud, powerful howling sound coming from the wooded valley below. The sound repeated several times over about a minute and seemed to be projected in different directions. He judged it unlike familiar local animals and listened for another half hour without hearing it again.

Three people sleeping in a tent while camping were awakened around 3:39 a.m. by loud knocks. Over nearly an hour they heard five to six sets of triple knocks coming from multiple directions and distances, each set ending with a grunt or exhaling animal-like sound. The closest sounds were estimated about 50 yards uphill, and the witnesses felt the sounds seemed like communication between intelligent creatures. They left around daylight and agreed not to camp at that spot again.

Two people were night fishing from their truck beside a creek. They heard heavy-sounding bipedal-like footsteps moving on the far bank, followed by single hoot-like calls from two positions and later a loud crashing sound like a tree falling. They stayed a while longer before leaving.

The witness and two companions stopped at a creek bridge to get water for an overheating vehicle. While attempting to collect water with a cup on a string, they heard movement on the steep hillside and had small stones and then a large rock thrown toward them from uphill. They left quickly without seeing what threw the rocks.

Late at night the witness went to let his dogs out at his mountain home and heard prolonged loud deep screaming and howl-like vocalizations estimated to be about a half mile away. The witness was hiking with family near Bear Hill Trail and photographing the children when two large, deep footprints with distinct toes and heels were noticed on a hillside. A third similar print was later found higher up on the trail, and photos and video were taken including the witness's own foot for scale. The witness also heard a twig snap uphill but saw no person or animal.

The witness was camping with two companions at Peterson Prairie Campground. Around 2:30-3 a.m. all three were woken by a very loud, long drawn-out scream/howl that shifted from higher to lower pitch. The sound was described as very close and repeated three times.

The witness reports waiting alone at dusk at the gated entrance to a remote conservation area when they heard a very loud unfamiliar wail/scream-like call from a wooded slope a few hundred meters away. After additional calls and a pause, a second similarly loud and unfamiliar call answered from a different direction a few hundred meters away. The witness interpreted the exchange as communication between two large unknown animals and doubted a prank due to the remoteness and solitary 45-minute wait.

While camping near town, the reporter waited outside a restroom before dawn and heard a loud tree knock from the north. Shortly after returning to the trailer, the reporter and a companion heard a single whoop from the east, followed by a brief burst of calling jays. Later that morning the group heard additional knocks and whoops from the west, southeast, and south.

She noticed a tall humanoid figure moving quickly from right to left across a pasture, zigzagging and appearing to pick objects from the ground and tuck one into its arm. The witness was hiking in the morning along a creek trail when a loud knock like wood on wood was heard from the uphill woods. After stopping, seeing nothing, and then taking two steps, a second single knock was heard. After watching uphill for about two minutes, the witness heard something running through brush uphill and away, but never saw the source.

Four campers spending the night near a creek reported hearing aggressive vocalizations described as a mix of whoops and screams, then seeing the silhouette of a very tall figure with a wide torso about fifteen feet away. They retreated to their truck before setting up camp, and later that night heard a deep whistle, crunching footsteps, pebbles hitting tents, and a branch breaking, along with a foul odor while a small dog growled. By morning a chair was found knocked over, but no tracks were located on the rocky ground.

The witness was camping with family along Marble Creek near Avery in July 2019. While preparing dinner at dusk, she heard repeated long siren-like howls echoing from higher elevation. She could not match the sound to known owls or large animals, and her dog hid under the table. She later compared it to the Ohio Howl recording on the BFRO site.

From a small rise one of them spotted a huge person-like outline across the drainage about 200 yards away. The figure sidestepped, stared toward them for one to two minutes, then disappeared after they briefly looked away.

Later they heard mumbling, speech-like sounds coming from dense brush in front of them that did not seem human. Unable to see the source and feeling frightened, they left the area.

The witness first thought the sounds could be wildlife or a person but later felt they matched a televised Sasquatch howl recording described as deep and ape-like.
