The witness was sleeping lightly in a tent on family property during a reunion camping trip after several nights of growls, whoops, and sounds of movement in the woods. About 1:46am something pressed the back of the tent against her back, grabbed her left arm through the fabric, and shook the tall air mattress violently while a bright white light shone on the tent. The shaking and light stopped, and she found the tent had been pushed 5 to 7 feet forward. She stayed awake, left the next morning, and later found fingerprint-like marks on her arm that were photographed.

Twice they returned from hunting to find trees blocking or inside camp, including a large healthy green pine pushed over. After losing sleep they left for a family cabin and returned next morning to find the tent zipper partly open with the lantern still on.

On successive nights they heard tree knocks from multiple directions, whistles, whoops, loud yells and screams that approached the camp, growling near the camper, and banging on vehicles in a nearby junkyard. By day they found numerous large human-like footprints in a shallow spillway and on a sandy bank, which they photographed with boots for scale. They reported no visual sighting but concluded the sounds and tracks were from a large, athletic creature.

The witness left the woods while still hearing the noises and returned the next morning to find the blood trail ended with no deer.

They reported rocks being thrown with increased aggression, leaving and then returning later the same night. On the return they reported hearing a roar or growl described as escalating to a scream or screech, then leaving and not returning.

A family was camped in a trailer near a treeline with a deer carcass stored nearby. During the night the family was awakened by rocks hitting the trailer, knocking sounds, growls, screams and whoops. The witness later went outside with a flashlight and saw a single glowing red eye high in the treeline. In the morning stacked rocks were gone, footprints were found, and a large pine by the carcass had been pushed over.

The witness returned on a Sunday afternoon to a wooded creek confluence where large tracks had been found days earlier. While approaching, something large moved alongside through the woods breaking branches, and the witness found large footprints including a tiny print in one heel. The witness then heard a large splash in the creek followed by paired guttural growls that stopped after the witness whooped, and later described seeing a large hairy figure peeking from behind a tree across the creek.

A family of four driving through Geneva State Park in daylight stopped after noticing a large dark bipedal figure moving through snowy woods. The figure was watched briefly for about ten seconds before disappearing. Shortly after from a nearby parking lot the adults made whoop calls and heard replies described as whoops, a scream or growl, and wood knocks, while also noticing a strong unpleasant odor.

Two witnesses were on the back deck of a vacation cabin at night with a small leashed dog when they heard a loud grunting/growling sound from bushes about 60 feet away. The dog was alert and barking at the bushes. Frightened, both people went back inside the house.

They stopped and watched a very tall, light-colored illuminated figure moving in a small circle near a mailbox, heard a short powerful grunt, and then saw reddish eyes watching from the woods. The eyes retreated deeper, dropped low and disappeared while the group returned to the cottage.

The witness was driving home at night on a dirt backroad when something struck the truck, leaving scratches and a dent on the passenger door. After calling for help, the witness with two relatives found footprints along the road and photographed them. While photographing they saw green eye-shine above the brush and a large upright shadowy outline, then heard wood knocks, growling and heavy footsteps before the eyes disappeared.

Something in the trees paced him from the side, stopping when he stopped and continuing when he walked. When he tried to look larger and shouted, he heard deep grunts and saw two small trees shake vigorously. He called a nearby friend for a ride and kept shouting until he was picked up.

Late at night on July 4 the witness's family was setting off fireworks in the yard when a companion noticed movement and a dark shape nearby. All present then heard a very low deep growl unlike anything they had heard before. The source then moved away crashing into the woods, and a search with flashlights found nothing.

After the other campers left and the sounds resumed behind his site in the early evening, he left the area frightened.
