Suburban Flower Mound resident startled by possible wood knocks close to home in early morning
The witness stood in the front yard before work in the early morning darkness and heard three loud knocks followed by a single knock from woods across the road. Seconds later, answering knocks came from deeper in the woods toward the lake. The surroundings were otherwise completely silent, and no people or lights were seen in the woods.

The witness was driving west on Highway 60 after crossing the Brazos River around 2:45 a.m. when a large dark shape on the roadside rose to a standing position and stepped or leapt into the darkness. The view lasted about two seconds at highway speed, revealing a very tall, thick bipedal figure that appeared dark with no discernible features. The witness, who said they had not previously believed in such beings, reported being shaken and convinced by what they saw.

The witness was walking down a dirt road on company property in deep woods when he heard rustling in brush about thirty yards away and smelled a strong skunk-like odor. After stopping, shouting, and resuming walking to a gate and back, he heard quiet whooping vocalizations from behind that grew louder as he moved away. He did not see the source and first considered wild hogs before later considering something unidentified.

The witness was hunting alone before dawn when he heard slow, heavy bipedal footsteps approaching to within about 10 feet. He also heard deep, labored breathing from the unseen animal. The animal then appeared to trip and fall hard, scrambled up, and ran away with a long heavy stride. After daylight he found only scuffed ground where it had fallen and noted no other animals were present.

Late at night after returning from work, the witness let dogs outside and heard prolonged loud screams, deep throaty sounds, wood clacking and tree-breaking noises attributed to two unseen sources apparently fighting. A deer feed bucket was carried off and left a mess at the feeder area, and horses panicked and ran into fences. No creature was seen.

In patchy fog near wooded roadside, she noticed a tall dark furry figure standing at the edge of the woods beside a group of trees. A teacher and companions are said to have encountered a tall creature on at least six occasions near an old bridge in Cooke County, Texas. The encounters occurred at night from a vehicle, with the figure seen as a tall silhouette in headlights and heard making threatening noises while moving through brush. On one occasion the creature was described as bouncing a limb, whose height was measured the next day, and daytime searches reportedly found bones in the creek. Shots were allegedly fired at the creature without apparent effect.
