The witness did not see anything and reported that no companions mentioned hearing the sounds the next day.

The witness was camping overnight with friends in the Mount Baker National Forest near the river. Between 2 and 3 a.m. she heard movement approach her tent and brush against it, while a companion in a truck reportedly felt a nudge and saw a fleeting shadow. The next morning the witness found multiple large footprints around her tent, the trail and vehicles and made a plaster cast of the clearest one. While waiting alone in camp later that day she heard persistent clicking from the woods and felt watched.

The witness was camping with two companions on a wooded hillside when the companions left the tent site to gather firewood. About 30 feet away both companions saw a very large dark hairy upright figure step from behind a tree and disappear quickly into the woods. They screamed and ran back in panic, and the group stayed camped through heavy rain that evening.

The witness, then a child, was sleeping in the family's A-frame when very loud, high-pitched screams from behind the house woke the household. The father fired a handgun from a loft window and later used a spotlight, hearing something move away upslope but never seeing the source. Similar late-night screams recurred several times over the following week, and daytime searches found broken small trees and a rotten-egg smell but no tracks or other samples. The family moved away within a month.
