Possible 1AM sighting by commuter on forest road 17 miles west of Daytona Beach
The witness was driving south on Highway 11 late at night with a bright light bar on when a tall hairy biped crossed the road ahead and stepped over a guardrail into the trees. The witness slowed, noted large wet footprints on the pavement where it crossed, then turned around and drove back but saw only a disturbed spot at the treeline. The witness estimated the creature was 7-8 feet tall with reddish-brown shaggy hair and a large chest, seen for only a couple seconds.

Two companions were driving at night in a doorless vehicle when they made a wrong turn onto a dead-end road. As they turned around, the passenger alerted the driver to eyeshine behind a large tree caught in the headlights. The driver then saw large eyes about six feet off the ground and a large brown shape behind the tree. Both were frightened and did not get a prolonged look.
Possible sighting and footprints found by father and son while setting turtle lines outside Deltona
A witness and his two sons were leaving an area where they had been setting turtle lines when the witness saw a tall reddish biped near a dirt road about a quarter-mile away that stepped into the woods. He stopped without describing it aloud, and a son asked if he had also seen it, indicating the son had seen the same thing. They found two barefoot-like prints beside deer tracks at the spot, but rain covered them before photos could be taken.
