The witness and his two sons were fishing by a river at dusk when heavy footsteps approached through dense brush and birds flushed from the trees. The witness shouted and waved his arms at the fence line where the sounds stopped but could see only shadows, later seeing a large shadow through the fence that dwarfed his own stature. After retrieving a dropped pole and returning to the truck, the witness heard something rush toward them, shone headlights toward the trees, and the group left as it retreated.
