Possible daylight sighting by motorist 11 miles west of Honobia
The witness was driving toward Honobia in the morning when a reddish-brown figure was seen crossing the highway ahead. The figure moved very quickly on two legs on a diagonal path and disappeared within seconds. The witness later returned to search both sides of the highway for tracks but found none.

Possible vocalizations and rock throwing encounter near Albion
The witness was alone on mountain hunting land in the evening setting up a feeder. From across the road he heard strange howl and growl sounds and shouted back, prompting more aggressive responses. The vocal exchange lasted about 20 minutes, during which a large rock was thrown from brush onto the road. He never saw the source and said it was not a bear or deer.
