The figures paused briefly to look toward the witness, then ran off into an area with no visible trail and a steep bank and quickly disappeared from sight. The witness thought they looked like Bigfoots but considered a hoax or soldiers as possible explanations, and noted a large military helicopter flew overhead just after.

The witness and his daughter were riding a four-wheeler through orange groves to watch pigs when they stopped to listen. They heard several loud noises likened to yelling or a panther cry, then both saw a large dark upright figure move quickly between tree rows. Frightened, they left quickly, and the witness later concluded it resembled a Sasquatch.

At dawn while driving to work, the witness scanned a pasture for deer and saw a tall man-shaped figure standing in grass about 30 yards from the road. The upper body and head were visible above roughly 3-foot grass, with an estimated total height of about 8 feet. The witness continued about a quarter-mile before being able to stop and return, by which time the figure was gone without a visible trail, and after watching several minutes continued to work.

Two men were hog hunting at night in woods near a lake when they heard a loud deep chuffing sound given four times from several hundred yards away, followed by complete silence of other animals. About an hour later they heard the same sound much louder from about 50 yards away and heard something moving slowly westward along the treeline. They remained frightened and sat back-to-back for the rest of the night and later could not identify the sound.

The figures walked upright in single file into a cypress swamp, after which loud banging sounds were heard from the swamp. At about 2 a.m. during a break in a storm, the witness heard something at the backyard wire fence and went outside armed with a relative. They heard footsteps and loud cracks first mistaken for gunfire and fired weapons toward the sound. When it should have entered an open clearing it was gone, and a search of the area found no trace.

The witness and spouse were preparing to grill in the evening when they noticed an extremely foul dead-like odor. The witness retrieved a gun, then three loud knocks or bangs sounded on the side of the shed. The spouse backed quickly away from the shed and wooded area, and they saw nothing upon looking around.

The main witness was bicycling to work in the early morning when he heard heavy steps coming from the woods beside the road. He stopped and shone a flashlight toward the sound, and the source moved back into the woods breaking branches while making grunting noises. He was frightened and rode away quickly.

The driver claimed a dark upright figure stood in the middle of the highway in the early morning and did not move when honked at. The driver swerved to miss the figure at close range, left the highway and rolled into the woods. Emergency responders found the driver still in the car, who described the encounter after regaining consciousness.

While hiking with two relatives in the Siuslaw National Forest, the witness was shown a single large footprint in dried mud beside the trail. The print was measured, photographed, and cast, and the surrounding area was searched for additional sign without success. The witness states the origin of the print is undetermined.

The witness was bow-hunting in coastal second-growth forest on the morning of 9/1/01. He heard whooping and scream-like vocalizations followed by a large tree falling, plus heavy footsteps, and later found large ground impressions, broken limbs and tops, and animal hair high on a tree. An investigator later reviewed photos of broken and twisted trees and received frozen scat and hair samples for examination.

On one occasion she woke her sleeping husband, who also heard the screeches. She first thought it was another animal but later wondered if it could have been a bigfoot.

Two companions bowhunted for elk and hiked out after dark toward their truck parked behind a locked gate. Along the ridge and back to the road they repeatedly noticed a moldy, musky odor and felt as if they were being watched. Near the truck they found very large human-like footprints, about 16 inches long, overlying their own earlier tire tracks. They saw no live animal and left quickly.

Multiple large rocks were thrown toward the witness, with some hitting a tent set up near the road while the witness was inside.
