Couple hears strange cry, finds big footprints in Pike National Forest near Fairplay

The couple reported hearing a very loud animal-like vocalization for about 20 minutes at night from their cabin. A few days later they found two large footprints in a wash near a marshy area a couple hundred feet from the cabin. They photographed the prints and estimated the first water-filled track at 16 to 18 inches long.
