Family hears possible vocalizations late at night near Ponca City
The witness and several relatives were gathered on a house's back patio in the early morning when they heard seven or eight loud whooping calls from a creek bottom to the south, followed by the sound of a cow in distress from a pasture across the creek. The whoops were described as distinctive, starting low and ending higher, and were unfamiliar to all present. A relative later compared the sounds to published Bigfoot call recordings and felt they matched exactly.
Fisherman has night time sighting along dirt road east of Scranton Lake
The witness was driving on a dirt road by a small lake late at night while looking for a fishing spot. They stopped after noticing a tall, muscular, fur-covered figure standing in the grass by a small tree and watched it looking toward the car. The witness left quickly after a companion said it moved.
