The witness and a companion walked into the woods at night toward a slew and noticed a large figure among palmettos and oaks ahead. The figure stood up and moved quickly behind a tree while heavy footsteps were heard nearby in pepper trees. Both fled toward a fence as the witness glimpsed a huge bipedal figure through the trees and heard a low gurgling exhale.

The witness and a companion were resting while hunting hogs with dogs when they heard distinct bipedal-sounding steps that appeared to mimic their own movements and approach them. Fearing it was a person, they fled across a swampy opening. After stopping, they heard loud thrashing and breaking of brush moving away from them through the treeline.
