The witness was hiking with a dog when the dog ran ahead toward brush about 40 yards away. The witness ran up and briefly saw the back of a dark head as something ran away into thick brush. After a few minutes of silence, footsteps were heard moving downhill away from the witness.

The witness was driving away from a bridge area after photographing water when she glimpsed in her rearview mirror a brown bipedal figure sprinting and leaping across the road behind the car. Her husband did not see it but reported hearing crashing through woods and a splash as they backed up. Shortly after while driving on they heard a repeated wuh / huffing noise, stopped to check under the vehicle, and found nothing.

The witness visited a pine forest site three times in the early morning. On the first visit he heard heavy footsteps retreating, smelled a skunk-like odor, and saw a rock thrown into water. On later visits he heard loud repeated calls and low moans, heard footsteps approach to within about 15 feet without seeing the source, had a large stick thrown near him, left food and recorded vocalizations, and noted indistinct footprints and large broken trees.
Man recalls incident years before among homes near Brick
Around midnight on a warm summer evening, the witness was talking with a companion beside a car in front of a home. They noticed a large grayish dog-like shape under a streetlight nearby. When high beams were turned on, the figure stood upright and ran bipedally across the road and around the dark side of the house, disappearing within seconds.

Late at night the witness and a companion were talking outside a house bordering woods when they heard loud screaming they first mistook for a woman. They took a light and tools and went a short way into the woods, where the sound became a loud high-pitched whistling with heavy rapid breathing very close beside them. Unable to see the source and unnerved, they retreated, called police, and listened as the screams moved away to the southeast and faded.
