The witness was hunting deer and after a misfire on a deer entered a clearing. He noticed a dark man-like figure to his left that turned away and walked upright into dense brush. He left the area without looking for tracks and never returned to that spot.

Witness recalls possible nighttime sighting near Sparland
The witness and a relative were outside their home at night waiting for a family member to return from hunting. They saw a bipedal figure approaching from the woods that they first mistook for the family member. The figure stopped and stood, then quickly went back into the woods, prompting the relative to bring the witness inside and secure the home. The family member arrived home later.
